CGI remains closed on Saturdays; Sundays and on designated Indian and UAE public holidays. The list of public holidays for the current year is attached. This is subject to modification on the basis of instruction received from Government of India from time to time.
The CGI also renders consular services on Sundays at the Indian Association premises at the five Northern Emirates – Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah & Ras Al Khaimah. Timings and other details of these services can be obtained from the respective Associations.

Extension of Deadline to Convert PIO Cards to OCI Cards: As per these recent guidelines issued by the competent authority, please be informed that Indian Immigration (Bureau of Immigration) will accept Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards (including handwritten PIO cards) along with valid foreign passport as valid travel document till 31.12.2024. This extension of timeline is subject to the condition that if in the meantime, any deadline is notified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) thereby making handwritten PIO cards invalid, then PIO cardholders may have to obtain appropriate visa from Indian Missions/Posts.
Meanwhile, PIO Card holders are advised to convert their PIO cards to OCI Cards a the earliest. For any query, kindly mail to visa2.dubai@mea.gov.in
